She Refused To Die! How to Activate the Healing Power in God’s Word.

Funny Feelings…

Not very long after she had her last child in 1993, Rev (Mrs) Yvonne Pelemo, the woman who refused to die, noticed she started developing some strange health issues.

First, she noticed some funny feelings in her body. Next thing, she started experiencing profuse bleeding that was accompanied by heavy clots of blood and severe pains.

Then, it was discovered that a part of the placenta of her last baby, who was already a year and five months old, was still in her!

Really? That in itself could only have been a miracle!

As a result of these experiences, she had to undergo several specialist investigations and finally, she was diagnosed with an advanced stage cancer of the womb!

Sincerely, it was a baaaad situation.

Go home and Die!

The diagnosis was only the beginning of several medical ordeals she had to go through. She visited a number of teaching hospitals; she underwent numerous tests and surgical procedures. Yet her condition kept getting worse.

Finally, the doctors told her to “go home and die” because her organs were already decaying and the stench that came from her body was akin to the foul odor that comes from a dead body.

The book-She Refused to Die, was written with her husband, Evang. S.K. Pelemo, as a testimony of how God healed and delivered her after she was told by the doctors to go home and die.

Yes, She did go home, but She refused to die, she held on to life by holding on to God’s word! 

After going through radiotherapy and chemotherapy with no improvement she decided to go for “Word Therapy!”

Word Therapy is a means of solving any kind of problem through a consistent confession, meditation and application of appropriate set of scriptures several times daily in order to build up one’s faith in God to bring about the needed solution in Jesus Name.

While she was being cared for at the different hospitals, the Holy Spirit had instructed her to compile God’s promises on healing and sound health and to confess them 7 times each day… She did this and lived on those scriptures taking them religiously like her medications.

She was going through Word Therapy!

Did it work? Sure!

Because the Word of God is living and active…Hebrews 4:12

Eventually, one glorious day, she had a divine visitation during the night. By morning, there were vivid signs that “Doctor Jesus” had begun His healing work in her; her bloated tummy went flat, the stench and discharge from her decaying organs reduced and she started gaining her strength back.

To the Glory of God, Mummy (as I fondly call her) has been living cancer-free and healthy for over 20 years!

Do you need healing in any area of your life? Whether in your body, your finances, your marriage, over your children?

Did the doctors also tell you to “go home and die” because your condition is “hopeless” medically? Do you see your health degenerating day by day? Have you taken all the medications available and yet no improvement?

I want you to know that God desires that you live in sound health. He wants you to live a wholesome life. Do you know He hates to see you go through that health crisis again and again? He hates that you go through so much pain in your body.

Even before you were born, He already paid the price for your healing by sending Jesus Christ to shed His blood on the cross Isaiah 53:5. All you need do is believe in His word, hold strongly to it.

Choose Word Therapy!

Grab ahold of some healing promises and take them like you would your medications. Be patient as He releases Health into your body. Your healing may come immediately, and it may come over a period of time. No matter the situation, never stop trusting, never stop believing, never stop taking those scriptures. They sure work!

Healing Scriptures

In this post, I share 5 of my favorite healing promises with you. I confess them, you know, like my multivitamins… You can start out your Word Therapy with these and add more scriptures as you go…

1. Psalm 118:17 “ ‘I shall not die, but live, And declare the works of the Lord .’”
2. Isaiah 53:5 “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.”
3. Jeremiah 30:17 “For I will restore health to you And heal you of your wounds,’ says the Lord , ‘Because they called you an outcast saying: “This is Zion; No one seeks her.” “
4. John 11:4 “When Jesus heard that, He said, “This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it.””
5. Romans 8:11 “But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.”
